I was going through a small collection of isreal coins I found in my Krause catalog when I noticed that there are coins "With pearl" and "Without pearl", Does anyone happen to know what this means?

In other words, whats the difference between an isreal coin with a pearl, and one without one? Is it a mintmark?

If you look at the Israeli coins they are talking about, on the side with the denomination, at the bottom you will see a canoe shaped object. Just below that some coins will have a small dot. That is the pearl.
