Not sure if this is significant or not but this is the year when the US sent 20,000 troops to the Mexican border. And Willis Farnsworth of Petaluma, California, patents coin-operated locker.

Neither of the events would be prominent enough to interest me. Sorry

Bit of a stretch. I have a note showing the date the Muppets first appeared on TV if you're interested.

Somewhat interesting, but probably to a very narrow market. I can appreciate a connection being made though.

Nice find. Look for any important or obscure reference to a date you find such as the below. These date serial numbers are usually combination digits representing a birthday, anniversary, often special holidays, or important memorial day or event. 09/11/2001, 07/04/1776...

Value: These serial numbers are special types not really fancy. There is usually no set pricing for these types of serial numbers and depends on the perceived value to a collector or buyer. They will become priceless if you meet the right person who is looking for a specific date for some reason or collects something related to that date. Believe it or not, you can make a few hundred or even a thousand dollars if its serial number is 09112001. To a non date collector or non collector of something tied to that date they are just another spender.

Famous Birthdays for that date: Stefan Kisielewski, Polish composer, writer and politician, born in Warsaw (d. 1991).
Sachchidananda Vatsyayan Indian journalist and author (d. 1987).
Louis Cottrell Jr., Creole-American jazz clarinetist and tenor saxophonist ( Heritage Hall Jazz Band), born in New Orleans, Louisiana (d. 1978) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Cottrell_Jr.

Famous Deaths: Antonio Fogazzarro Italian writer/poet (Il Santo
Leila), dies at age 68. He was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature seven times https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonio_Fogazzaro

Interesting find! Still a spender to me, but it's always fun to run across one like this.
