This is not my coin or a series I normally collect. Looks like the signs are there for authenticity. What grade and comments do you have?

I think this coin is unc, maybe 61-62 but it looks like it's been dipped. The obverse looks more natural than the reverse which looks overdipped, especially with halos around all the devices in the fields.

Low MS. Looks genuine to me.

this is one i'd like to see in hand. I think the coin is MS and I think its a great example of this error. I dont think the coin was over dipped . I think its a minimum of AU58 but I'm leaning MS63

I've been watching this coin since it was put up for auction on Sept. 21st. I'm now the new owner of this 3 legger. I will be sending it to a TPG as soon as I can after receiving it.

@psuman08, you forgot shipping and handling. I think it is well worth it.

Great example. Will always have a soft spot for the 3 Leg, regardless of how common. It was my first "cherry pick" as a kid when I was young, going through my grandmothers collection. She had it tossed in with other common dates. It now resides in my registry set.

This is one I'd want to see in hand before making a purchase. Given the extent of Die Deterioration on this variety, it can be difficult to judge in the slider range. I can see this going AU58-MS62 straight grade, BUT I also question the surface originality as well. Could be the lighting in combination with the later die state, but a mild acid or detergent could be at play here. Wouldn't be shocked with an AU-UNC Details either.

I'd lean towards AU58, unsure of a straight grade.
