H H Initials On 1995 United Nations 20 Cent

It may surprise some collectors that Horst Hahne's now infamous HH initials which appear on Australian $2 coins dated 1988 and 1989 are also on Australia's first commemorative 20 cent coin (1995 United Nations)

H-H-Initials-On-1995-United-Nations-20-Cent

I'm sure prices are set to soar when the general public becomes aware of this.

p.s. HH also appears on some Cook Island coins which Horst Hahne also engraved.

Horst Hahne was also responsible for the definitive $2 coin with reverse design bust of Aboriginal 'One Pound Jimmy', which is in general circulation, and is very familiar to all Australians.
I met and spoke with Horst Hahne at a coin show in Sydney in the early 1990's.
He was a very interesting and talented artist and engraver.

My son collected about 50 or so of the United Nations 20 Cent coins, taken from pocket change, not long after they were issued into circulation. He still has them all.
