Hello, I was wondering if someone might know anything about a cent I found in my change. It has some sort of material on the face of it covering almost the whole front of the coin. The material is on the penny solid and has a number of 2uz18 stamped into the material. Any ideas?

to the Forum, Joe. Without pictures, it's impossible to make a diagnosis of your find.

to the CCF As stated, we will need a clear photo of both sides of the coin or else we would be just guessing

Thanks for welcoming me to this site. I am trying to figure out how to shrink the photo I took. It may take me a bit. Thanks again.

I'm thinking we'll need a new, much closer-in photo--not an enlargement of the image posted above.

Please crop and enlarge your images - these are useless.

Looks like it was glued to something.

Agree, glued to something. Acetone bath should answer the question.

Thanks for the responses now I know what I have. I also metal detect as a hobby. I have a few other coins and tokens that I will post in the coming days to get some more insight on. I appreciate all the help. Have a great night everyone.
