With all due respect, does it matter what the date is? It is not a 72...Is it a DDO? Kind of would like to get the opinions before revealing the date

NEVER ARGUE WITH AN IDIOT. FIRST THEY WILL DRAG YOU DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL. THEN, THEY WILL BEAT YOU WITH EXPERIENCE.

After further review...A closer look shows a lot of similarities between mine and Variety-002 on Variety Vista. I was also informed that Machine Doubling is not frequent on copper pennies as it is on zinc.

Quote:I was also informed that Machine Doubling is not frequent on copper pennies as it is on zinc. Where did you come across this information? can you post up a reference to this info please? I'm fairly sure that MD is relevant on all coins of all denominations of all years. Now I read here on CCF (possibly from Coop) that there is something that only occurs on zinc coins but can't remember at the moment what it is (I'm not thinking zinc rot, bubbles, or plating issues - that is obvious).
