Out wondering around the Vt. countryside yesterday I decided to include Bennington in my tour. My intent was to stop at the museum and photograph the only known complete set (subjective) of Vermont coppers. Well it was Sunday and for some unknown reason it wasn't open.
I did get to the Bennington Battle Monument though, and the site of the original Catamount Tavern, AKA Fayes Tavern circa 1767.
This monument was the inspiration for the reverse of the 1927 Battle of Bennington commemorative.

.,and of course it wouldn't be complete without a picture of this, the Battle Monument.
