Found 1996 Lincoln Penny with the outer ring all messed up. Any thoughts on what happened to this, or was the intent behind doing this. Also took a sideways shot to show the thickness, compared to a normal 1996 Lincoln Penny. Thanks for all the input

The smaller diameter and wider rims usually indicates a Dryer Coin.
