So the 1892-o micro o is supposed to have a thin left side of the mm and thick right side. Is there an upside down micro o mm known? A local shop has this coin in inventory for $500. Thoughts?

Compare the size of the O with the size of the D on yours with this PCGS image. Your coin is not the micro O.

Thanks. The mm pic I posted doesn't fit the micro o diagnostics but it does look odd as the left side is twice as fat as the right. I haven't seen a pic of an 1892-o with the same mm. Now I'm starting to wonder if there is an o over horizontal o like the 1891-o dimes(?) as there appears to be something inside the top of the inside of the o. Maybe just wishful thinking.

Nothing is listed in Lawrence, Bowers, or CPG other than the micro O. Bowers notes that John Frost found several 1893-O thicker on the left. Browsing Heritage I see some 1892-O that can also be perceived as thicker on the left.

Interesting. While I can not provide you with a definitive answer, I'm certain John Frost, president of the Barber Coin Collectors Society, would. New discoveries appear in the quarterly journal quite frequently, after all. So it may be worth the consideration to send him an image.
