Nothing rare or fancy, just a US Type coin that I've always-liked. I think Hermon Atkins MacNeil did a nice job with design!

It's a beauty for sure. Are you working on a type set?

A real nice specimen coined at San Francisco, and the last issue for the Series.

No, not really. But I do like the artistic merits of the Standing Liberty Quarter (SLQ) series. At one point, I pondered putting together a peronally-designed type set of the SLQs.

The series has three design types, was struck at three mints and was struck in three different decades.

As luck would have it, you can represent these nine considerations with just three coins:

- Type I: Denver Mint, 1917-D
- Type II: Philadelphia Mint, 1920, 1921, 1924 or 1925
- Type III: San Francisco Mint, 1930-S

My first coin of this custom set is presented here. I bought it years ago from the SLQ man himself - JH Kline - and bought a copy of his book at the same time. (I'm glad I was able to purchase an example from Mr. Kline before he passed.)

Maybe it's time to add the other two coins!

Excellent grade to have, super eye appeal! The Standing Liberty design is second on my all-time favorite list right behind Bela Lyon Pratt's $2.5 dollar gold. I'm fortunate to have an example of both in my type set. Great addition to your's!

Here's the aluminum advertising token that Mr. Cline gave me at the time of my SLQ purchase from him. It is slightly larger than a SLQ;
with a diameter of 27mm vs. 24,3mm for the coin.

The obverse mimics a 1916 Type I with Full Head:
