I was wondering if in ebay auctions, If you were allowed to post Links in the items description to a larger image of the coin, hosted on something like imageshack.

I ask because I wanted to post a large lot of foreign coins on ebay, but the default sizing of the image makes it near-impossible to see the coins, So I was thinking that by hosting the same image on Imageshack and posting its link the description so veiwers may magnify the image would help.

I don't know if posting links in ebay auctions is allowed though, and I just wanted to double check before I potentially violate an ebay rule or anything

Yes you are.

When you're typing the description, look at the top bar and change it from basic to html.

Then, you can go to imageshack, copy the url "for sites," paste it in, and voila

Have a look at auctiva.com.
They have thousands of templates into which you can put 24 images + into.
Photos are hosted at auctiva.
Best of all it's FREE!
I use it for all my ebay auctions.
