Hi , afriend from jordan sent this coin asking if its authentic and its value so am asking you guys all I know that it dose not stick to a magent and it weights 3.57 g.thank you I hope the pictures are ok
Looks genuine to me. It's a AE (copper, bronze) coin of Licinius I, you can read the letters of his name above his head. The reverse is Jupiter. Mint is Antioch, the ANT on bottom of reverse. As with any coin the value is determined by condition, rarity and demand. You could check sold sales on eBay or ancient coin sold auctions online. Also check Vcoins.com to see retail asking prices. I'm guessing it's worth is in $20 - $30 range but I haven't bought ancient coins for a while. The reference is RIC 8, Roman Imperial Coinage reference books.
