Tom Corcoran is listed in some early 1900's telephone directories as a grocer. I have not been able to find any additional information. The token is made of nickel and measures approximately 23-24mm. The letters are all incuse on the obverse and the reverse is blank.

Library of Congress newspaper search for Tom Corcoran in CA 1895 - 1940 did not yield any pertinent information.

Letters look raised in that photo. Is that a scan or a photo?

John1 - No, the lettering is all incuse, absolutely not raised. The original post shows a scan of obverse.

I am not really adding much but will let you know I checked the California Token catalog I have and find nothing from that company.
I wouldn't call it a token because it doesn't have a denomination.
