Sorry for pics all I got and hard to judge from. Heavy scratching, harsh clean? I think the details are good? But is it only scrapvalue due to the damages? Not collectible? Or collectible but for if aquired cheap? Thankfull for input, novice here *** Edited by Staff to clarify topic title. Please put as much info in the title as you can, they are very important. ***

The reverse is damaged. I would put the common date in the stacking silver category because of the damage. Most of the common date Walking Liberty half dollars that are cleaned or have minor issues still sell for melt plus a small premium.

Great, thank you very much. I will pass on this then. Much harder to find US coins here for resonable prices, delivery in europe is costly, and if I buy from us there will be customs :/

The 21 Morgans come in S and D mint marks and as usual no mint mark means Philly minted. John1

Quote:Much harder to find US coins here for reasonable prices, delivery in europe is costly, and if I buy from us there will be customs :/ In the US a nice MS 1946 S Half Dollar on ebay can be found for about $50. How much is the seller asking for the OP example?

It looks tampered with. High grade but cleaned or mishandled. I'd pass on this one.
