I'm not sure if I've even posted this yet but I have an 1887O Morgan silver dollar! Not worth much I know but still so cool! Definitely oldest coin I have so far!

Nice looking circulated Morgan. Imagine the life it has led, the hands to which it was past, the things it was used to purchase, and the distance it has traveled!

adam126402.... that is EXACTLY what I tell people!! There's just something about holding a 137 year old coin in your hands wondering that exact thing.... IYKYK it's definitely not a feeling everyone gets cuz I get looked at sideways but WORTH IT!!! LOL I do appreciate all your help in helping me learn more and more everyday and I do apologize for the dumb stuff I post like ppl think I should automatically know everything. Believe it or not I do try to do my own research but some things are clearer than others and sometimes I need help. Thank you

Still checking out the VAM never even heard of it before but I am curious about the "M" at bottom of her neck?

Isn't the M the initial for Morgan? John1

That makes sense but why is it not on all Morgan silver dollars? And the notch protruding from front of her neck and a star is messed up....is this considered VAM? I have really never heard of it before you asked John1.

For the M,look on ebay. For the other stuff,it might be VAM indicators, but you need to research it. John1
