
It's a 1787 Massachusetts cent, Ryder 3-G (variety), rated R2-R3 scarcity, and grading about VF20. Nice color and surfaces, but holed.
The hole reduces the value quite a bit since it's not a rare variety. Without the hole it would probably go for $400-$600, but even with the hole, it's a popular early pre-Federal issue and still has some collector value.
Personally, I'd keep it as a family heirloom, but if I had to put a number on it, I'd list it for $75-$100 or thereabouts.
