Yes I soaked this in vinegar to see what it would do I'm not looking to get it appraised or sell it I know it's only face value is this what it looks like after you clean it with vinegar also why are the letters so fat the years 1965 and Liberty on the obverse

Looks normal, and FYI vinegar is a mild acid and will damage any coin you soak in it.

OK, I just wouldn't use vinegar on any coin that I wanted to keep/add to a collection.

100% acetone to clean coins, can be bought from hardware stores and do not use finger nail acetone it is not the same. Just soak your coin and then rinse, pat dry, do not handle without gloves.

If someone on this forum suggested it, they shouldn't have. There are only 3 things to use on copper. Water, acetone, and Verdi care.

It's part of the normal design. Never use vinegar ever, on coins.
