I have never seen a similar coin with such a legend reverse MARTI AVG COS II. The only info I found is a recent auction at https://www.cgbfr.net/clodius-albin...89502,a.html There is a denarius in RIC 28 with a different reverse legend MAR VLT COS II Any info is welcome. I was the one who participated in the auction with you and won the lot. All I managed to find out is that officially only two specimens of this coin are known in the world, one is in a museum in Vienna, and the other was sold at a French auction. I couldn't find any more information. So, it turns out that the coin is not unique but extremely rare. It's a pleasure to have such a piece in my collection. Report this Post to the Staff
