Are the Territory Quarters going to be considered a series on their own, or will they be put in with the Parks Department quarters, presumably coming out in the future years? Will there be a separate album with just one page for them?

I have started waiting until the series, or at least the page for the album is done, before I try to complete it, because they keep changing things, and I hate having to keep buying pages, and wasting the old ones. (sorry about that, just venting).
Rest in Peace

I have been told that some companies have made folders and albums for the Territorial Quarters only.

This was a bit of a quandry for me, too, the way the Territorials were "tacked on" to the end of the State Quarter series. I have a Lighthouse Album for the State Quarters, the kind where there is a pull out strip with pockets in it, a pocket for each quarter.

As it turns out, though, there are six pockets in each strip, so what I've done is reserve the sixth pocket on every strip on the last page for the Territorials. They'll be arranged vertically instead of horizontally like the States ones, but it'll do.

It seems to me that the Territorials are closer in subject matter than the National Parks issue will be, and I'm darned if I'm buying a whole different album for ten quarters when I have empty pockets as it is.

I have only seen seperate folders for the Territories myself, so far. But I bet there will be both St. Qtr. folders "with" these and "without".

the Territory Quarters are set for only one year, correct? Do the parks series start in 2010? is the series for the Parks set, or is it still being figured out? It defeats the purpose to buy the album, and then have it wrong... again!

Yep ! And these would definately be considered a seperate series !

My St. Qtr. albums/folders will only be the States, and then I'll get the "one year" holder for the Territories. And then a brand new album/folders for the Parks Qtrs. (if I do the Parks Qtrs. !)

That's why I use Dansco books. The last page for the Territiories just clips into the back.

I use Dansco books, also. I collect the proofs, and silver proofs, as well. It will be 2 pages for me to do the one year of the series. I don't think that both pages will fit in one book, without some shuffleing to the earlier book, thus throwing off the dates on the covers, and such.

Knowing that it is only a one year program, and that the next series is set to happen, I may jusst have to break down, and buy the album for the Territory Quarters. I am so anal with my collection, that that would drive me crazy, every time I looked at the book, if the dates were off.

I purchased a State Quarter Whitman folder a few months ago and it included the territory quarters as well. I actually held off buying for a bit to find one that had the territory coins. My guess is that in the future they will all be lumped together.

The Dansco Album with Proofs has a separate new album for the coins, the Dansco no-proof album will hold the one required page ( I have sold both at the shop I work at ) Whitman has all-inclusive albums and three folder sets...We have Maps that contain all of the Sates, including the territories . (not trying to sell you any ) I do not think they are to be considered part of the National Parks series coming up. I am sure they will have much the same set up for those. One coin per design albums are also available for most of these as another option.

I think I'm going to break down and get the Dansco album with proofs. It is hard to wait too long to get a new album. if I waited to buy the State Quarter albums until after they decided about the territory quarters, then I would have had six of seven years of quarters just sitting, and waiting for a home.

Which begs the question do you wait for a series to get done before you buy the book?

I know its a conundrum. Thats one reason why I like the Barber series of coins. They just made coins each year.

Congress wasn't playing around with coins and stuff like that. They must have had more important things to do. They were dealing with the recession, and troubled times...No wait there wasn't a recession, and troubled times.

Hmmm, Food for thought?
