I have some nicely toned Sacagawea dollars and I've seen the best way to preserve this tone, is to put them in air-tite holders, buts I'm not sure? If this is the best way to keep the coin from toning more, what type of airtite should I use(The one with the black ring inside or not)? Also, where should I be able to buy this air-tite? Thanks
I think bust half is 32 mm? I just bought one a couple days ago.
I put all my best coins in airtights. Very protective, and I think doesn't take away from the attractiveness of the coin like dull white cardboard 2X2's do.
I buy all my airtights from my local coin store, and whenever I have a coin and the size is indetermined, then they measure it with a calipiter and find out. Pretty slick. Heres some advice though. If a coins diameter is in between milimeters (I.E. Diameter = 32.4 mm) always buy a size down, dont buy a size up unless you want your coin to rattle.
Yep , thanks for that Elmist , 32 or 33 I was told , finding one is another matter.Ridiculous prices for one airtite , not like I need 10 to get the cheap rate on such an obscure size.
