I found the note and there was some writing on it. When I looked a bit closer it seemed to be a message. What do you think? is it legit?

Could it be a "short snorter"? That is, where a group of servicemen signed the note?

Well it says "To sandy From ? Hawaii, Daddy 13 may 1945"
So idk. Seems interesting though.

Very nice note! I think it says "from Oahu, Hawaii". It may have been spent by mistake

Oh, yeah, that's real...the ink type and fade looks about right. Remember, no ball-points widely used back then, all pens were fountain pens.

Scenario is probably that Dad is in the forces; it's almost the end of WWII, and hostilities have ceased in Europe. The war in the Pacific still goes on with the Japanese, though, and would for just under three months more. On leave in Hawaii, Dad receives one of these Hawaii notes and sends one to his daughter as a souvenir of a time and place.

I hope he got home okay.

See that is what I love so much about this hobby. there is such a cool story and piece of history in this note. Whos knows if thats right but it is so much fun to wonder about it.
