This is old. But, I'm interested in the Community's thoughts on this "error".
A 1981 Lincoln Cent struck on a previously struck Kennedy half.
Is there any conceivable way this could happen without being an 'inside job'?
And how could this Frankenstein escape Mint quality controls other than the perps sneaking it out?

Isn't this obviously a deliberate 'error'? Is this a Photoshop product?

It's highly likely that it's an assisted "error." I have a hard time believing that it happened by mistake. It looks intentional. Probably most likely a mint employee shenanigan.

First question would be how can a Kennedy half fit inside a Lincoln Cents sized striking chamber..........

must be an employee assisted error - to have it happen, the die must be changed out on the Kennedy run and have a Lincoln die set in place.

any images of the reverse?

Sorry, Dearborn, I don't have the reverse. I don't even know where I found that image originally. It's been residing on one of my HDDs for years, along with thousands of other odds & ends. It has Heritage Auctions on it, though.

I'm just wondering do any of you ever read the other posts in your posts or do you just look at pictures? I know @-makecents- jumped all over me one time about not reading the posts before responding even though I clearly DID! Sometimes I feel like I'm wasting my time even responding in this forum................

like the CCF advertisement boxes

There have been times when I would have paid big big bucks for that - such as a couple of years ago. The ads to which I was subjected were from a Chinese online grocery, and featured fried chicken feet.
And Marv, my mate has a woodpecker toothpick grabber just like yours. Or are you at her house playing with hers?

I guess some people do not have the time to watch a 20 minute video.

I have to admit, I missed the link above it the first time. Maybe I was distracted by the video?
