Here's one I got at the bank, probably in 1972 or 73. I liked spending them and would always try to get a few when I stopped by the bank. I thought it just had circulation crud on the reverse, but out of curiosity I took a toothpick and flicked off some of the crud. Surprise! Underneath the crud the letters were missing. The rest of the crud I left alone and it is still there today. So next time you find a newer coin with crud on it, ask yourself is it circulation crud or ORIGINAL MINT CRUD (OMC)?

It's not valuable enough to slab, but that would be a fun TPG label, "with original mint crud".
