The "log cabin cent" is the first Lincoln "penny" issued in 2009, also known as LP1.

I have received them in change a couple times the past few days. I guess the supply through the fed is loosening up a bit. Should be able to get them through most banks soon.

I go through two bank boxes per week, and the last box I went through I finally found a Log Cabin cent (12 to be exact!) And I got a Formative Years in change at a bakery last week.

I just found the new one with Lincoln sitting on the log laying on the ground in front of a Coke machine. How 'bout that?! Pretty crazy huh?

The first two designs (Log Cabin & Splitter) are both showing up here in Northeast Kansas now.......it's a surge. Now at least every other day I'm getting both in change.
This morning I received two Cabins in change for my coffee.
