Hi everybody

I need a help about a coin.
It is "THRACE, Kings of Lysimachos", Lysimachia mint, extremely fine like this but my coin's weight is 13,18 g.
What is it mean? Is it possible?
i am sure it is ok except weight

Thanks ...

I'm afraid that the most likely explanation for it being three grams underweight is that it's fake.

I've collected a few of these over the years. And I'm always looking for nice examples. So I have some experience with them.

This obverse design style is a well known fake design. It shows up on eBay from time to time.

So with the low weight, as said by Sap, this coin is definitely a fake.

I agree with tenacious and Sap in that this coin is a fake. It looks to be from the infamous bulgarian school of forgeries. It is a good looking coin, but as tenacious said, "This obverse design style is a well known fake design. It shows up on eBay from time to time." I was almost fooled by one for sale on e-bay a few weeks ago. Sadly the other coin you mentioned minted in Amphipolis could possibly be fake if you got it from the same dealer.
