dbrablec Pillar of the Community United States 1944 Posts	Posted 07/21/2009 07:00 am i have quite a few older proof and mint sets, all in the original packaging. (most actually, I guess a couple of sets are repackaged), dating back to 1954 for the proofs, and 1958, for the mint sets. the questions is, is there a chance that the mint/proof sets, having any of the "varieties, or errors" in the sets, or can I assume that the are "regular" strikes? biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 07/22/2009 3:48 pm Mint and Proof sets can be a good source of varieties and if you have not checked them yet, you should- do not assume that they are just "regular" coins. You should reference the CPG for the major RPMs and doubled dies which were numerous in the 50s and 60s. Report this Post to the Staff

WOW is that a tuff question. There are web sites just full of all kinds of error coins. Some specialize in just one denomination such as https://www.coppercoins.com If you want a list of all the possible error/varieities of all denominations of all our coins, I think you would need an equivalent to the entire internet.
