I've learned so much here and everyone has been so nice so I've decided to hold my first contest. I found a War Nickel in change today and thought I would use it as the prize. So here is the contest... My 7 month old daughter Karrington is named after a well known Christian musician's daughter. The first person with more than 50 posts but less than 500 (sorry Pillars I want to pass on to the new comers) to correctly identify the artist will receive the 1944 P War Nickel. I will ship it anywhere in the U.S. for free. If the winner is from outside the U.S. then I will half the shipping. One post per person per day. Contest runs until someone wins.
God Bless,
Brad

Even though I've never heard of John Salyer, it looks like that is right. I will put in a guess for Michael W. Smith

What a coincidence:John was raised in Salyersville, KY and graduated from Magoffin Co High School in 1980. He now resides in White Oak, KY with his wife Jill (Cline) and they have two daughters Whitney and Karrington. John grew up playing rock music in several different bands until he gave his life to the Lord when he was 21 years old. He then began playing in a Christian Rock band called the Rock Crusade. John enjoys playing music for the Lord and with his family, especially his youngest daughter Karrington. John is a deacon, the sunday school director, and drummer for his church. One of his dreams was to play music with his brother-in-law Anthony, and thanks to God, his dream has come true.

Is this musician in a group or a solo artist (or you can't say either way).

I'll leave a hint tomorrow. That is an interesting coincidence. However John is not the father of the Karrington in question. I will say this it may or may not be spelled the same (that's a freebie).
God bless,
Brad
