Hi josie

The coin looks like it may have been struck with a filled die,, the detail of the stars was filled with debris and did not allow metal flow into them.

can you post a little larger pic of the entire side of the coin ?

you reply on it thank you again most of the die in the front and in the back are all still visible except the die on that side seen several picture in other web well you are the expert I'm still learning thanks at least I'm not on my own saying it is a filled die
