Canadian Collectors, or collectors into Canadian coins
Reading the Title I assumed the first; I'm not Canadian but I do have some Canadian coins.

I have quite a few. Since I just finished organizing my U.S. and World sets, now it's off to my Canucks so count me in on this! I've recently added some Silver Maples and a little gold too.

I watch Canada closely as many issues do appeal to me. I buy some of their commemoratives as their wildlife coinage is usually very well done, great eye appeal and low mintage. Also keep an eye out for commemorative circulating coinage but prefer unc. coins when adding anything to my collection today.

Canada is one country I don't mind pursuing a date-and-type collection of. I've got a fair stack of Canadian, mainly picked up in change by family on visits there over the past few decades.

I have about 90 Canadian coins, although they are common coins and some are duplicates. But I have a few interesting older coins that I find interesting. My latest purchase was of a Candian coloured 25c with the red flower, from a Melbourne Australia coin shop for $4.95.

Toast: Those are the commemorative "Year of the Veteran" Quarters. They're very nice, but hard to keep the colour from wearing off. I've got a few I managed to snag out of circulation before the colour wore off. Currently we have a new coloured quarter, the Pink Ribbon for Breast Cancer research. If you'd like I can try and snag a few out of circulation for you in exchange for some AUS quarters.

As for the topic... count me as both a Canadian Collector and collector of Canadian coins.

Mark,Australia,like New Zealand,uses a 20c. coin,not a 25c. coin.I am a collector of all British Commonwealth coinage,including Canada & the colonies that united into it,including Newfoundland.

Aidan.
