Definitely a Grease Filled Die. I think you can see some additional evidence of it in the weakness of the UST in TRUST. I have seen these go for a couple of bucks on ebay.

that is a neat coin. I wonder what the value is? You would think it would be worth quite a bit.

I've never seen that before. I also would think it's got to be worth quite a bit.

That's a nice Greaser! Can you see any trace of the last digit?

As Jim said, it's worth a couple bucks on ebay.

I can't see any trace of the last digit with an 8x loupe. I will add this to my keepers.

What makes you say it's a 72?

The smaller thinner letters were used for the motto ONLY between 1969 and 1972. This coin obviously isn't a 1969. That leaves 1970-1972.

The shape and size of the 7 in the date is wrong for 1970 or 1971. That leaves 1972 as the only possible answer.

If you look at the motto closely, there's a decent likelihood of finding the master die doubling that happened in 1972 that would seal the statement that it is indeed from 1972.

For many reason it cannot possibly be a 1978, including all the above reasons coupled with the fact that the mintmark changed in 1974/1975. The mintmark on this coin is not the right size or shape for 1978.
