Hello everyone iam new here I have always kept all the interesting looking pocket change I've had from over the years.i have a dime that caught my eye today it is a 1968 dime with no mint mark on the front or the back I googled this dime and I found some very good news it can be worth alot if is the right one.most of the headlines on google were 'RARE 1968 'S' NO S what does that mean? can the 'S' mean made of silver? the one I have is not made of silver thanks for reading Sorry For The Crappy Pics

Welcome but sorry.Just a 1968 dime made in Philadelphia worth 10 cents.

FYI in 1968 Philadelphia did not stamp the coins it made with a P

As others have said this is just a regular dime. The "s" mint mark refers to coins minted in San Fransisco and are "proof" coins,

yes just because this one coin may not have been as excited as you thought keep on posting your finds and join in on the discussions with us and we all can learn from each other because unlike allot of hobbies where you have to have some type of special skill developed to carry on the hobby this one is information based where the only way to carry on is to learn and takes no special skill

 to the forum teelow. Sorry, but no. Your dime is basically the same as the one above. If you look at the blue tab inserted into the package, you will see that it is from the Philadelphia mint also. But, keep bringing them, you never know unless you ask!

This reminds me of the Counterfeit 1921 WL I found in a roll, the OBVIOUS reason I knew it was counterfeit, was it DID have a "p" mm on the reverse, the problem was the Philly mint didn't stamp a mm on coins minted in Philly, if it had of beena geniune, it would've been blank

Luckily for us there are some bad counterfeiters out there, but that's just sad!

More than likely, it was a chinese fake, not only was the mm off, also the weight, and the color was a dark gray, the whole coin looks bad
