Some ebay listings such as the one below state there are some of the non coloured quarters with faint lines on the blade of the guys hockey stick. They call this an error.

I have about a half roll of these quarters on the desk in front of me right now and about a forth of them have these faint lines. Does any one have information on this supposed error?

I'm not up on modern coins much. But when your sample is that large - at best it's just a not important variety.

Well, the biggest discussion about that coin is the colourized version with the raised or engraved 2 in 2002. I don't even have a single sample to compare just yet. The variety sells for $10-12 currently. The controversy is over which variety is the scarcer of the two. The mint releases figures that say the engraved 2 is rare, while the general data of collectors say otherwise. If a hoard gets leaked in the future the market will simply reflect the prices again according to supply and demand.

This item on your link has the engraved 2. Right now they're not selling for much over $2.

That's interesting..I was under the impression that all of the reds were engraved-2's, and the only raised 2-s were the non reds. For the record, I have 4 reds, all engraved.

So if reds can be raised or engraved, is that the same for the non coloured coins?
