Wornslick Pillar of the Community United States 1304 Posts	Posted 05/31/2010 1:13 pm I am going through my coin collection this morning trying to put a value on things for my children if and when they decide to sell them when we are gone. I have a complete set of Franklins that are in a capitol plexiglass holder. I would say the coins are mostly in F condition with a few a bit better. Also I have a Liberty Walking half dollar set 1936-1947 in the same holder. I also have a Twentieth Century Type Coins set in the same kind of holder. I know some of the coins are worth more than others, the 1938D Walker of example. Does anyone know a website that I could learn the value of these? I tried E-Bay on the Franklins with no luck. Metalman Pillar of the Community United States 7123 Posts	Posted 05/31/2010 1:58 pm Numismedia is ok, but I can tell you without a doubt that on many coins they are way off when it comes to the actual market value,both high and low depending on which coin and which type. For high grade and key dates I use teletrade and or heritage completed auctions, for the lower grades I use ebay and or numismedia and grey sheet averages. Report this Post to the Staff

RPT Pillar of the Community United States 926 Posts	Posted 05/31/2010 5:07 pm Coinage has a value for some sets. They list a circulated Franklin set at $300. For the Walking Liberty Halfs a circulated 1916-1947 set is $1600. A circulated 1941-1947 set is $175. They don't list a type set. The Capital Plastic holder is worth more than an album if it's in good condition. Report this Post to the Staff
