Just returned from a week long vacation in Cancun Mexico. I picked up some of the local bills and coinage. Their money is impressive. What was more impressive is that I happened to score a 2010 D Dime, along with a 2010 Penny. I guess you have to go to Mexico to get good coins these days.

Sort of funny to find the 2010 coins in Mexico when many people are looking for them in the USA Maybe that's where they all disappeared to!

Mexico really does have some impressive coins. U.S. coins, well, someone needs to implement some fresh ideas.

I wish I had spent more time looking for coins while I was there. It was a great trip. I am really impressed with their bank notes, they are very cool. We just keep putting presidents on ours. I still really like American coinage, but it would be nice if they would retire some of the current issues. The dime would be a great place to start, that and end the JFK half.

To score those 2010's in another country, when its almost impossible to get them in the country of origin. Maybe they were destine for your coin collection. Congrats!

I am a sucker for their libertads. the designs for their commemoratives are nice too. to bad the 2009 aztec calendar came in one kilo only.

The Aztec calender, now that's an intricate design. Something of this level of intricacity, the US Mint would place it on a dime.

Presidents definatly need to get off of US coins. Why do we have to look at guys that only half of the country probably liked anyway? I guess we can thank our loser politicians on both sides. I hate FDR, but if he came off the dime he would be replaced by Regans ugly mug. I just want liberty please!

I never cared for the puke-yellow-green-ish tinge that Mexican coins have. Of the three North American countries, Canada has my vote for best coin designs.
