I saw this item up for bid on ebay, and was so impressed with the artwork that I wanted to share it with everyone. Granted, it has no value as far as collecting goes, but it is a magnificient piece of work nonetheless.

Yes, I had never seen anything like this before - seen coins in belt buckles, earrings, rings, and stuff like that, but nothing like this. Iwasn't even aware something like it could be done. It's as if Lady Liberty has broken out of the coin, or something.
Now, some hard-core collectors may find coin jewelry offensive, and, for the most part, I don't care for it either, but think of it as a work of art rather than a defaced coin, and I believe you will be able to enjoy, and appreciate the workmanship that went into such a creation. If this post does offend anyone, please accept my apologies in advance. - Ralph

Here you go Bryan. I remember seeing it as well.

EDIT TO ADD:
I did a bit of reading on these this morning. They are called "pushouts". Obviously an aftermint product. They seem to be available in all series and at modest price as the dies are still around.

These ARE made from real coins aren't they? Personally I'd rather have the coin.
