echizento Moderator United States 23731 Posts	Posted 01/12/2011 1:52 pm to the community. I hate to disagree with Sap, but I believe this is a Follis of Justin I. Sometimes it can be a little difficult to tell between Justin and Justinian in these early examples. Report this Post to the Staff
Sap Moderator Australia 16910 Posts	Posted 02/20/2011 03:33 am I suppose the key to telling which emperor it is, is the identity of the letter I'm pointing at in red: if this is an "A", it's Justinian (IUSTINIANVS). If it's an "I", It's Justin I (IVST...INVS). Comparing it's shape to that of the "I" at the start of his name, I would still lean towards it being an "A".
