depends on how nice they are and the dates,

Most dealers wont let you search them but will open a bag of say 5000 and let you pull out a few hand fulls and glance through or look inside the bag.So you can make sure they are not corroded junk

If they are junkier 40's 50's wheats you might get um for 4-5 cents each .

If you pull out a handfull and see some nice 20's 30's with a teen or two mixed in the dates your prob gonna pay closer to 10 cents a each maybe more.

As I kid I ordered back in 1984 2 rolls of wheats for 1.95 cent each shipped
Filled all of my book 2 1941-58 wheats and most of the 20's and 30's except the 31 and 32 slots 22-d and 24-d
even got a 1909 vdb in the batch with some teens

But that was 25 years ago I think they were truley unsearched .

Now I suspect you gonna get others searched through common dates

.03 to .05 Cents apiece, is the average where I've seen.
This is for "Common Date Wheats" in average condition.
The common dates being.... '30's, '40's, and '50's.

Of course "Pre-1929's" would get more value......... and EVERYTHING depends on condition....the nicer they are, the more they're worth.....

Keys and semi-keys goes without saying.....

If it's a "mixed bulk lot"......well that has to depend on exactly what the mix is, to determine if it's worth a certain price.

I've paid $50.00 for a thousand unsearched Wheats before at Estate Sales, and came out REALLY WELL !
But if you see "unsearched" on Ebay......well......not too likely that someones not gone through them. You're just getting somebodys Wheat cent Dump. Those are just culls and "common dates" with a few older ones purposely thrown in to make it seem "unsearched" and more appealing to the buyer.

I'd say 4 -5 cents apiece if they are common dates 40s-50s and maybe a few 30s mixed in. 6-10 cents each if it's a nicer mix with teens and 20s (again mostly will be commons).

Seems like mint marked 30s are getting harder in bulk Wheat cent lots. Dates like 38 D&S, 39 D&S, which have lower mintages, are hard to come by.

At a recent coin show mixed was $2.00 a roll while pre-1934 was $7.95 a roll. The mixed rolls did have some teens and 20's but they were less than average condition (culls or close to it). The Pre-34 rolls were in nicer condition with the expected dates/mints.

My last 2 bulk buys (5000) cost 4.3 cents each shipped with a good mix of dates/mints except perhaps too many dreaded 44's and 57D's. Surely I own all of those by now

Indian cents at 10-15 cents apiece? Where! I will buy them all day long for that! Mostly I see them going for .75 to 1.25 each for basically 1887-1908 range. Might go higher of there are earlier 1880s and older included. Just a few years ago 1880-83 were commons, but now bulk lots often have those dates removed and I noticed 1880-86 all are higher than 1887 and 1887-89 are higher than 1890.

Since it seems like prices may be going up, are dealers paying more than 2 cents a piece near anyone? Every dealer I've been to only pays 2 cents.

wheat's go for about 3 cents each in bulk and Indian's can go almost anywhere they want. they was a very little collected coin in the past and was almost given away but someone decided they should be collected so not they are harder to get for a decent price

For fourties & fifties in average condition I usually pay 4-5 cents each but I have occaisonally paid up to 7 cents a piece... not recommended. The general price is 4 cents. I've gotten them cheaper though.

We regularly sell wheats at our weekly coin club meeting auction for $2/roll. We can't get $2.25/roll.
