I have a Portuguese 100 Escudos .65 silver proof commemorating the April 1974 revolution. My Krause lists the weight at 18 g. while the proof booklet says 15 g... The coin is sealed and I really don't want to take it out and weigh it. So I would appreciate if someone can tell me exactly because I keep records of the ASW on all my coins. Thanks in advance

Here is one more vote for 18 g:

Though, of course, the information might come from Krause. I do not have this coin myself.

Hello,

This information is wrong, the weight of this coin is of 15g.
I correct the information of this coin in the numista site and put more information.
But I can not correted this information "100 escudos (100 PTE)" because 100 Escudos don't is 100 PTE, the correct is 100 Esc (100 PTE is for Peseta (Spain)).

Well, don't try and change it, because "PTE" is actually right. When you use "Esc" or "$" for the escudo, that is the common local abbreviation or symbol. For the Spanish peseta it would be "Pta" (plural Ptas).

This "PTE" however is, or was, the currency code for the Portuguese Escudo - just as "USD" is the code for the United States Dollar for example. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_4217 Those codes may not be in common use, but there is no need to fix them. ;)
