Yes that can be a very hard thing to be at peace with but you have what 3 years left then that's it or are you going to 35 years? I also own a glock 21 a .45 I love to go shot Friday or Saturday evenings at the local gun club (I have had my permit for the last 4 years). I use to own a Walter P99 (9mm) she was a beauty but sold to go with glock. I also had a S&W military police .40 nice as well. It is very hard to learn a second language after a certain age and some times just impossible I could not do it that is for sure. What do you collect in terms of coins do you attend the major shows in Canada?

Matrix, I collect only business strikes, I.C.C.S., 1858-167 all 6 decimals. My goal is to acquire every Canadian business strike in the top 10% grade. Lifetime goal, trust me! but worth it............ Glenn

Very nice goal and tough as well. I would like one day to own the top 1 cent collection in Canada one day. I have a nice collection of small cents but have not started the large cents just yet but will soon.

Nice sets either way. I will stick with my small cents for now and start my large cents this month maybe in a few years I will go towards a 50 cent collection.
''I know who has the very best set of Edward 50c coins, all PCGS MS-64 to MS-67 grades. The set is not registered''. Would it be a lawyer in the Toronto area by any chance?

I think CCCS is considering it...

The problem that still exists with CCCS is that the coins are not broken down by variety. I am hoping that Louis has recorded this information, but if coins have only been recorded by date and grade, the pop report is highly unreliable.
Glenzy, I know your comment about the S&W to the head was in jest, but I think most of us PAL/RPAL holders would agree that comments like that about yourself (or others) should never escape your lips or fingertips, regardless if you're a LEO or a civvy.

I agree I know frustrations can make us go mad some times but kids read these things and then see no hope. Believe me we have all tough of such things and hopefully no one does such a thing. Life can be good and bad but it is only 100 years max so. Plus you have a good job a lot of people wish they where cops I know I do compared to be working on a computer all day. So you are lucky.

I would love to have a complete collection of these one day as well as the 1929-1936 issues, graded VF or better. So far my set consists of the following: 1881H 1908 1931 1936 Still a long way to go! I keep browsing the local shows in Sydney hoping that some will turn up but whatever is around is lucky to push VG.

Looking to upgrade anything below a VF20 eventually.

The 1920 wide 0 is a hard to find coin, and undervalued in my opinion.

I couldn't believe my luck at the local coin show, one of the dealers pulled out a book with some Canadian stuff in there and I managed to pick up an 1892 in VF condition. Slowly getting there...

Matrix, I was a lurker on the Canadian Coin Reference site, I believe you posted there before. I appreciate high grade Canadian coins. I particularly appreciate Canadian Specimens. I have a 1921 50 cent piece that is graded SP64. Not quite as nice as yours, but not too shabby. It's a bit of a grayish color but sharply struck. My coin comes from the LaFortune collection (former master of the mint). Happy collecting! Cheers! Eric http://s3.amazonaws.com/data.tumblr...Ny7IUKkS288=
