My original thread got a little clogged with pics, so I decided to start a new one out of respect for people's bandwidth. To recap, in the old thread I asked if the membership thought this coin would hold MS64:

The overall opinion was favorable. I bought the coin. Given what it was, I'd have bought it anyways - remember I mentioned hiding the characteristics of the
VAM? Well, here it is in hand.
1921-D VAM-1n Unicorn:

It's called the Unicorn because of the shape of the die break coming off the D in UNITED. This is one of the most desirable of the 1921-D
VAM's, and one of only 11 1921
VAM's that PCGS will attribute. With this coin, I now have 9 of that 11, and one of the two I'm missing appears to be unique.
I believe this coin will hold MS64. On a related note, this coin saw the image counter pass 2100 on my camera, and close to 2000 of those are coins. It's only significant because, after 2000 tries, I'm still only getting close to decent images. Maybe it *is* partly the operator.
