2011-D Shield Cent Error--Not Sure What Happened

I got 2 rolls of 2011-D cents from a local store...ALL were spanking brand new coins, all of which pretty much showed as being struck with the same dies, with the same pattern of die flow lines, and markers..I did start to see a lot of hairline scratches, from what I would think are ejection issues...then, I found 2 coins with serious damage, this one being the worst...since this came from a BU roll, I am leaning away from PMD, although it helps my case, just because ALL coins from a roll are BU, it does not prove a thing with a single coin, I know this..there is no reason to believe this is a garage job, since it was not found in a roll of circulated coins, again, no way to prove either way!...a violent collision occurred here, and, where the worst damage is, and, the rim is concave, from extreme pressure exterted onto area..the clue here may be the area that looks curved, reverse, from E in AMERICA, running through A, up to rim..it looks like a second strike....I'll let the pics do the talking here, as I am unsure what happened..the obverse shows severe damage also, the worst being on the same opposing side as reverse..probably need to see in hand, this one..
