My replacement for the phony 1808 just arrived and here it is for your viewing/grading pleasure. With the 1805/5 strike, I'm thinking it should be relatively simple to attribute. Anyway, it's already liking its new home next to the AU58 Classic Head. <Burp!> Times are good... Paleoguy

VF-20

The damage detracts but I think it is a great coin

I would net it out to VF because of the damage, but I will note that typically these lack hair detail even in the AU range.

I agree with all that the "pinch mark" on the right reverse is distracting, but overall the coin is a great keeper. It's at least low XF if not high XF IMO. All the veining is still present in the leaves on the reverse. On the obverse the numerals of the date are still rounded and there is no wear evident on the bodice. Bottom line - she's found a new, loving home..
