I found this in my pocket after I came home and was getting ready to put it in

Is-This-Normally-What-A-1963-Nickel-Looks-Likethe change in a jar. Is this normal? Its a 1963 Jefferson nickel has a copper look to it.

Anyone have any ideas? I know zero about coins besides I spend them, the photos aren't great, but if it's only a nickel I'm good with that. Just thought I'd see if I was in luck with something.

The rough patches on the reverse are a sign of corrosion, I suspect your coin is a metal detector find. Soil burial will also cause cupronickel alloys to develop a dark brown patina.
