I picked these up on the bay for what I believe to be a decent price. I trust the seller as I have purchased from them in the past and have verified the authenticity using a 300x microscope so the authenticity is not a real issue. Just curious but what would or have others paid for coins in this condition (these are the sellers images). Otacilia Severa AR Antoninianus. Both coins are nice.
I looked up the Otacilia on both Vcoins and Numismall. It looks like the few for sale are selling between $60 and $100. But I would put in that I bought an Otacilia RIC 130 last June for $21 including shipping.
The Gordian III looks to be selling in the range of $45 to $75; however, once again I have a very nice Gordian III Denarius, RIC 67, I purchased last May for $17.50 including shipping.

Two very nice well struck coins. Based on condition I would have no problem paying $75-$80 for the OC, and $50 for thw GIII.

Both good quality coins, I be surprised if you got them for less than $150, $100 of that going on the Otacilia.

I have both coins, and I think yours are excellent, and in very good condition. I think you did well. Just out of curiosity what is the weight of the OC coin. I have a rather heavy example.

The OC weighs 4.2 grams. I purchased the OC for $60 and the GIII for $85.0.

You did good - two quality coins that you wont get tired of looking at, the OC strikes me as a very good deal.

If anything I would have expected the prices to be the other way around - ancients hey!

I have noticed that my gordianIII coin still has mint luster on the reverse. Is this common? I have also inspected the coin under the microscope and I am certain the coin was struck while semi-molten as the flow lines on the obverse are quite apparent.
