Trent C Valued Member United States 166 Posts	Posted 02/04/2013 5:08 pm Hello I'm new I heard that it is not possible to find 1943 steel pennies in boxes of pennies from the bank because all the pennies go through a magnet and the steel ones are attracted to the magnets is this true? Some places you can find great stuff and others will be bone dry depending where you live and really how lucky you are. Report this Post to the Staff

The steelies are out there along with early Wheaties, copper LMCs and the occasional dime in a cent roll(so far I have found 7 of them in cent rolls.) I've found coins from 25 foreign countries and several Buffaloes(the 1st ones) in nickel rolls. Keep looking, you never know what's in the next roll.
