It's not a loonie,it's a silver dollar.No loonies were minted before 1987.
Grade is too low to be collectible,however it is worth about $17 as bullion.Good buy!
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

If you bought that coin from your friend, who is your "friend" in the true sense of the word - then you owe them about $12 more for that coin. It is the silver content that dictates the value of low grade dollars (before 1967).
