amida17 Pillar of the Community United States 4897 Posts	Posted 04/21/2013 7:07 pm to the CCF! Any chance of getting a close up and reverse pic.? This could be a Bar cent, post colonial token likely minted in Birmingham England in 1785. Or it could be a common reproduction of a Bar cent. If real it would weigh about 5.5 grams or 85 grains. There is a popular restrike but it does not look like a Bolen copy, made in the 1860's as the obverse is wrong for that restrike. Anyway welcome! Report this Post to the Staff

Enough to know there would be lots of souvenir coins, as well as fakes. For me, I would buy such at a cheap price, as an initial introduction to learning a lot more about them.
