Is that the same 1795 flowing hair dollar posted on ebay with the engraved details in the hair that was posted not that long ago? After looking through the completed listings,it looks like one that was bought for $1950.89 on 3/14/13.

Same dollar, same seller. Guess the buyer sent it back; I wonder what barely perceptible imperfection they found when they got the coin in hand?

"The hair detail on the obverse has been strengthened to give this coin the appearance on an XF."

And, in doing so, the coin has been ruined. I have been watching this one too.

YES! It is the same coin.

It sold on the 18th for $1825 with 59 bids;unbelievable. Let's see if it gets returned and re-listed again.

Why is that unbeliveable. Should it have received more or less?

I'm not sure, considering the price is on par with other coins of the same date/grade which have sold at Heritage Auctions with Details/Tooled designations.

They should have left that coin alone...that's a crime.

A couple more rounds and it may get down to what he paid for it in Feb. Bought in Feb, sold in March for a $400 profit, it gets returned and resells in April for $125 less. After ebay fees he will be just about breaking even. If it comes back again and resells for even less, after fees he will be losing money.
Rest in Peace

Maybe the eagle needs some breast feathers to balance things out?
