I also bought one of these the other day when I was in Sweden. I had about 130 krone left and decide to spend half of it on coins, the other half on eating a meal!

I would like to, but no way of getting it onto the comp right now. I actually think I have the earlier version, mine 1896, different metal and says something different at the top, but still nice.

The 1896 does not have a different metal, just a slightly different blend, so it's darker.

For the text, the 1896 reads "Brödrafolkenes väl" which reads "The good of the brother nations", brother nations meaning Sweden and Norway, which was in union at the time. The union ended 1905, so afterwards they changed to "Sveriges väl" or "The good of Sweden".
