Poll Question
I'm getting itchy with silver being below $19. The poll is for straight bullion and whatever your normal premiums are. Don't need another discussion on dealer premiums.

So below what $$$ are you buying?

Poll Choices
 Now is a good time
 $18
 $16
 $14
 $12
 Holding out for sub $10.

I voted 1st at $16. I think I can wait that long without buying just a couple ozs here and there. $16 and below would be my 40-50 oz type of number.

Depends on what your buying, if you are looking for limited mintage semi numis bullion then you should be buying now, if you want bars of silver just above spot then wait , looks like we are still in a downward trend, also once it hits a bottom and people start buying in mass , you may have a hard time finding lower mintage semi numis bullion available to buy .

Generic bullion in rounds and bars up to ASE/ML. Nothing with numismatic value. I'm talking the difference between picking up some nice stuff for the collection and back up the truck buying.

I'll be dabbling I semi-numismatic bullion now.

I don't really do straight bullion anymore but if I did, I'd buy at $14-16, which was about where I bought my current 400-500 oz. of generics, SMLs, and ASEs. Even if spot drops to $10, it would still be hard to buy Eagles and comparable bullion for much under $14-15; not on ebay, anyway. Unless you can afford to buy in quantities of 500-1k ozs., that is.

the big mistake everyone is going to commit is looking for the bottom. NO ONE can capture an EXACT bottom. What we want to do is see gold and silver reverse out of this downtrend by not making fresh yearly lows.

After that stops, then we want to see the price chop around and base, do nothing at all, go no where. maybe another attempt at the bottom and solid rocket off that with solid buying.

So everyone who keeps buying from here, as you have seen since April, is going to be mauled to death price wise. Then, because they thought they were smarter than the market by always buying, they will continue to be underwater in their investment which is a bad and poor way to start.

Its clear that gold and silver could spend a long time in limbo after they stop falling in price. I dont think anyone wants to be several hundred under water on their purchases. Thats why if you wanna buy, if you have tooo,, proof silver and gold, numismatic coins.

Dont be one of those sheep who thinks gold and silver are going to turn around immediately, dont fall into the trap that "big banks are buying" (which btw, whos the big banks? lol), dont be a sucker and think you wont be able to buy again at these prices.

"Buying from here......" Do you mean here, as in CC?
I've bougt silver lots from here since April,
but already had a buyer. In one case, just a favor.
But I get the point of what you're saying.

Had to edit, it wasn't April, sorry.

at 16-17 I by a few rolls of AE and ML. Now I am buying Semi keys and key dates of any American coins. Also PL, DMPL Morgan's and CC Morgan's. All graded and or GSA holders. I just don't like low mintage modern commemoratives to buy them regardless of silver prices dropping.

I haven't bought anything much since the drop. Every time I get the "itch" I look at the coins at the PO, purchase one or two pieces, and browse through the Mint catalog.

I thought I would be a buyer at $18, but now I'm a buyer at $16. Haven't regretted a thing, as there are a few new products out, like the African Elephant...

At this point, I feel comfortable sitting outside the box, listening to views and examining trends...

Now with this slight up tick I am considering selling out of some generic 10oz bars that I got for a good price a while back. My thinking is to sell out now and buy back several $$$ per oz later. I don't think the slide is over.
